A Performance for Paul
It was our honour and privilege to perform with Paul Atherton at Bristol’s Harbourside festival. Paul is one of our longest-serving Dance for Parkinson’s attendees and performing with us was on his bucket list. We were thrilled it all came together on the day in such an inspirational and uplifting way.
We’ve been asked by so many people how it went and we wanted to share with you some images of the performance and thoughts from Paul himself.Â
“It was but yesterday that we met in a dream. It all seems such a long time ago. It’s hard to say how it was, but here goes:
It was the purist I ever felt dancing!
It wasn’t a question of success or failure.
I felt no fear of having an audience. I was just sharing with my heart and soul a wonderful song.
Thank you John Lennon and Co.
Thanks to the creative team that inspired such an anthem. Thanks to The Original Spinners – Rachael James, Rachael Walsh, Sophie Turner and Tina for making it all happen.
It was also a chance to let family and friends know that after 20 years of Parkinson’s, I’m still here whatever the next challenge shall be.”

All together now:
Love, love, love
Love, love, love
Love, love, love
There’s nothing you can do that can’t be done
Nothing you can sing that can’t be sung
Nothing you can say, but you can learn how to play the game
It’s easy
Nothing you can make that can’t be made
No one you can save that can’t be saved
Nothing you can do, but you can learn how to be you in time
It’s easy
All you need is love
All you need is love
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need…
